Although it was a good performance, I've never really thought he set the precedent for the joker. It's a role that can be taken in many different directions which can be performed effectively as Ledger. Within the context of the Nolan's films with a dark gritty premise it was perfect but put him in another batman world it doesn't necessarily fit

From the suicide squad trailer I like the look of Leto's Joker tbh. I've always liked the Image below.

I can't see Batman films going back to the more comical style some of the older films had.

From what I've seen suicide squad seems to have a lighter more comedic tone, and Batman features in that apparently

Imagine saying to someone in 2000, that in 20 years time, after only 3 Prime Ministers the NHS would have almost wiped out and every school had been turned into an academy.
