you can indeed transfer, However on certain courses, you may be forced to resit first year , as they wish to 'trigger' you for the rest of the course.

It's usually a case by case basis, and depends very muich on the course, your results, the amount of places at the time and the two universities internal policies. But certainly, email around and see what's on offer.

Remember, you can always go somewhere else for a masters.
LSE and Oxbridge don't accept transfers, not sure about UCL though.
I have heard of a couple of people going to UCL into 2nd year, although it seems VERY rare, although UCL generally attempt to make the person take the first year.
I know one person who went from Queen Mary to Manchester.

Whatever you do dont put hopes on transferring, that would NOT be a good idea. :wink:
