A day in a life of a nursing student

For those of you have are nurses to be, what is your day at University like and what are your placements like?

It would be nice for me and other people to know so, that we would get the gist before we commit ourselves to this profession.
It's hard to help because various uni's seem to do it differently. Generally though you'll get two weeks holidays for Christmas, two for Easter and three in the summer. You will be in theory for longer than other students and you'll have to wrack up 2300 practice hours which includes placements (37.5 hrs/week) and skills weeks within the university. There are reading weeks and depending on the uni you may get far more weeks off than the seven mentioned above but you will have assignments to complete. Again different uni's have different academic requirements. Some have lots of assignments to write, and fewer exams, some grade your placements and others a pass/fail.
