FP3 Edexcel June 2009 Paper
Hi I'm doing the FP3 paper and I'm at a loss, I'm stuck on question 6 and it's a standard procedure but I just don't understand.
6a) I solved the equations simultaneously and I got the answer so this is fine
6b) So I tried to do the discriminant of it b^2-4ac=0 but I can't seem to get the answer they want?
6c) I tried differentiating and subbing the values in but after looking at the markscheme it's wrong and I don't understand why that's not a valid procedure.
