Posted from TSR Mobile
1) 1.41, 1.4419, 0.2510, 0.7769, 0.1378, 0.1516

2) 60, 0.0133, 0.0159, 0.2396

3) 0.5, 151pi/3

4) B = 8, A = -12 (didn't need this), k = 1/9

5) 225 (i got 342.25 too but put 225 as my final answer. Not sure of the correct reason)

6) 9 samples, 0.25(4), 0.3(5), 0.29(6), 0.12(7), 0.04(8) n = 57

7) mean 1.2, var 0.24, prob 0.325, 41.88GBP, no he should not remove staples

Should be, might be 90 ums exactly considering that 71 was 90 last year

can some one please write the function for the last questions please

I THINK that it was something like:

f(x) = (9x-3x^2)/10, for 0<x<2;
0, otherwise.
Can someone show how to fully work out Q4 A and Q5 please
how many marks do you think id lose if I put n=56 instead of 57, do you think I'd get any??

not bad at all for 2 hours of revision

there was no 90 UMS last year. 92 UMS was 71, 88 UMS was 70.

Scaling is weird sometimes

yeah it is, I just assume that an A* boundary is 90 UMS and you needed 71 for an A*

Actually I deleted my post cause I was wrong lol - 90 UMS was exactly 71. Not sure where I got 92

UMS scaling is still weird though
Anyone remember how much the finding k part of the question was worth? I got a as 11 which I think was wrong so I got the wrong answer for k... wondering how much I would've lost

What would 56 marks be in UMS?

For the N=225 8 marker I got to the equation then couldn't solve for N so I used trial and error and got 225, would I lose marks? If so how many?
Reply 856
Urghhhh, for Q5) I got N = 223 because I missed out the continuity correction:frown: How many marks do you reckon this would lose?! I'm positive I did everything else right, including rejecting the wrong root!
