edexcel c1 differentiation

Do you have to include the zero when you differentiation a number

as in

y = 3x +2

dy/dx 3 + (o)

or could I have just written 3
y = 3x + 2

so dy/dx = 3

no need to write the zero, I believe

You could have just written 3.
Don't need to write 0. It is assumed

Also this could cost you a mark, don't write dy/dx 3

Write Dy/Dx = 3

the reason is that dy/dx 3 looks like a multiplication of dy/dx by 3, which you'll only encounter in A2 level maths
