I want to study in Portugal... HELP.

Hi, I have just currently finished year 11 (yaay!) and it may seem a bit too early, but I've already started to think about Universities because I want to make sure I'm on the right track.
I am actually from Portugal and I want to go there for university, the thing is I am not doing A-levels. I'm going to do a BTEC Level 3 Animal Management Diploma ( for two years) and when that is done I aim to do a Veterinary Nursing Apprenticeship. After I've done all that I want to apply to a University to do Veterinary Medicine, and finally become a vet. So my question is, would it be possible for me to go to university in Portugal? Or is the only way really to do A-levels?

I've done that already but their grading system is different, so i don't know if I fit the entry requirements. Plus, I've emailed several universities and none replied.
