I have work experience in a lab

I have work experience in an agriculture and food testing lab starting from tomorrow.
I want to go into cancer research and I know this isn't completely relevant but I think it may help with my UCAS application - I want to do Biomedical Science which is pretty general.

Just wondering, do you think I will just be observing? Will they have me doing anything? It lasts 6 hours with a 1 hour break. Any advice?

Thanks!
Whether or not you'll do anything will depend on a number of things like the type of work and the company's policies. You'll see very quickly that techniques and skills are common to most types of biomed research so don't worry about whether the placement is relevant or not. Also your interests may change so go with an open mind.
