Your five/ten year plan..

Been thinking about my future recently and wrote down a plan so here it is. Have chosen a ten year plan as a five year one is too soon.

1) I would like to finish up my final year at school and ideally get A*AA

2) This isn't my priority but maybe finding someone to love and hold me at night

3) Go on my gap year and travel. Sweden awaits  I also hope to undertake in this four week science work experience in London next year.

4) Applying to university in October 2017 to places like QMUL, UCL, KCL, Nottingham etc to do either Medical Sciences or Biomedical Science.

5) After University I would undertake in medical research but it depends to be fair. Ideally I'd like to look into blood more. :colone:

6) After medical research I want to train as a doctor and either do Graduate Entry Medicine or a Medicine degree. Ideally at Imperial. Being a doctor would mean the world to me :cry2: and I wish I could write why but it makes me so happy to think I could save lives. I cry at night knowing I could save so many people. :hugs: just please someone out there, believe in me so I can get there. Knowing that as a child I always assumed that I would become one, I lost all hope and went the wrong way in my subjects but I have a chance. It makes me cry. :frown:

7) I would love to work as a paediatrics doctor and specialise in neuroscience or something, it's too hard.

Well that's my plan, what's yours?

*saving space!*
Five year plan, I’m 13 so it wraps up nicely.

1.) Revise super hard for GCSE’s and ideally get a string of 8’s, 7’s, maybe a 6 or 2, but my main goal is a 9 in history.

2.) Get into my schools sixth form and do History, Economics, Maths and either French or Spanish, whichever I get the highest grade in.

3.) Again, revise super hard and get A*AA or AAB to do either Economics or Finance, respectively, with Study Abroad in Durham.

You're Rhythmical and you like blood

I believe in you, genuinely. All 7 of those steps, from the little I know, will be difficult but it's clear that you're determined to get there and that is 90% of the challenge.

As for my plan...

Year 1: Finish placement. Learn how to drive. Start learning those languages that I promised myself to.

Year 2: Finish final year of uni. Get involved in new things because what I tried before didn't work. Literally make or break so aim to come out with the best grade possible, even if I have to start studying in August with the notes I have already.

Year 3: Gap year :woo: spend some time in Australia or Canada or America. or maybe all 3. Research into what's best to apply to - a summer internship or straight to a graduate role as an actuary or whether I want to spend a year doing a Masters in Actuarial Science or something similar

Year 4: If doing a Masters, apply to start actuarial work... and yeah.. keep going up.

...and at some point in the future, if I find someone then great  but a house full of 72 cats won't be so bad.

Believe in yourself, even when people tell you that you can't do anything, knowing that you have the confidence makes all the difference. Good look with your goals :hugs:

Thanks so much
If there's anything I have learnt in the past it is to not plan your life because things never seem to go the way I want them to
Within the next ten years I'd like to:

1. Finish my degree with a first.

2. Do a PhD within the field of veterinary parasitology (hopefully applying this year, if not, definitely an MRes in Advanced Biological Sciences focusing on a particular veterinary parasite).

3. Be a research scientist within said field at a university.

4. Get married.

5. Have a child.

6. Visit Australia.

5 year plan- graduate and buy cats
10 year plan- alcoholic crazy cat lady
Not a 5 or 10 year plan, but a 7 year plan!

1) Finish my A-levels (starting A2 tomorrow) with AAB/ABB. (1 year).
2) Study law at Kent (3 years).
3) Spend a year doing work experience in a school (1 year).
4) Do a PGCE in law/citizenship (haven't fully looked into this yet) (1 year).
5) Complete my NQT year teaching GCSE/A Level law (1 year).

And then hopefully after that become a fully qualified teacher.

Okay I'll do a ten year plan

1) I want to finish year 13 and get A*AA in law, business and economics respectively

2) I want to get all my health issues under control before i start university and to stop being so anxious about everything :colone:

3) I really want to go to university to study law, ideally cambridge, but if not then i will go to the university of law or Lancaster.

4) After university i want to take the BPTC to become a criminal barrister.

5) After being a barrister for 5 years i think I'd like to own my own house, settle down, maybe find a guy  and pursue my final career promotion of being a judge. :h:

I trusted you with that secret :colone: nobody has to find out. But yeah thank you so much, could always count on great people like yourself. Gotta fulfil that Asian stereotype of becoming a doctor  what's your plan then? Where's the other 10%?

:teehee: I'll make sure to hear about you're doing what you need to be doing to be on track for A*AA next year  and yeah, no doubt  the other 10% is just making yourself stand out and having stuff going on (whether it's for jobs, studies, life outside of all of that etc) and trying to have positive spirits

:slap: eat something as well if you can :frown:

Within the next three years:

Own a grilled resturant in London, hopefully this year.
Set up an import/export business this year.
Acquire land abroad in several third world countries, build commercial plots, sell them. Keep some residential property to live when visiting.

Acquire firearms.
Build up my strength to huge levels and be very fit.
Be an experienced Royal Mariner.

Once I achieve all these within the next three years, the world will literally be my oyster.
