Hi

A text I used was Haralambos M and Holborn M, Sociology: Themes and Perspectives, 6th edition, Collins 2004, and it is included on the WJEC reading list. I'd recommend it.

Books for AQA and OCR would probably be ok to use and some of the OCR books are listed on the WJEC Teachers Guide reading list

There are other documents on the WJEC website that you should look at, including the Specification 2006/7 which summarises what you need to learn pages 9-15. The Teachers' guide above is also of interest. And you should look at the Specimen Assessment materials.

Incidently I took Sociology A level with the WJEC in 1991 in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. Where are you studying?

I forgot to mention. The text has a good companion website, too:

By the way, don't drop the book on your foot as it weighs a ton!
