Sociology essay - Education

I am currently studying an access to humanities course and really struggling to make a start on this essay - ‘How well do Marxism, Functionalism, Feminism theories contribute to our understanding of education?’

This is basically an "engage and criticise" essay. That is, write a paragragh (or two) on what Marxists contribute to our understanding of education and follow that with a paragraph (or two) critical of what you've just written. Repeat for Functionalism and Feminism.

Before you start the essay put together three piles of notes: Marxism plusses and minuses, same for Functionalism and Feminism. Use these notes to construct your pro-and-anti paragraphs.
