an inspector call

how and why eric change
I did An Inspector Calls last year and if I remember correctly Eric and Sheila are the only ones who change and realise their mistakes and feel guilty about being responsible for the death of someone. Even when for a few minutes they think that a girl didn’t actually die and the Inspector was fake, they realise they need to be more socially responsible.
They were like they’re parents in the beginning but towards the end they become the ‘better people’

Eric and at the same time Shiela is a symbolism of Priestley's socialist view. Eric changes due to Priestley's outlook on society. Look at the context behind Priestley because it will help. I wholeheartedly agree with the post before also.
