What's better to study, Criminology or a combination of criminology and sociology?

I'm deciding between studying just criminology on it's own or criminology and sociology. I understand that criminology is technically a branch of sociology, but would it be better to study the two together? I just don't want to spread my focus too thin or be in a position where I love one aspect and not the other.

To anyone who has studied these subject(s), what is your opinion?

Hey. I do a degree in Social and Political Sciences and technically also study criminology as a minor. I think the best thing to do is to look at the modules for BA Criminology and BA Criminology and Sociology and go from there.
