Degree modules relevant to internship or nah?

Taking a Physics degree but with some computational physics modules. Also am super interested in programming, decent at python, just started learning java, done a few small coding projects on the side. Want to apply to a software engineering internship which says i should be undertaking a degree in a field of computer science. Just wondering would me taking a few computational physics modules be enough evidence of my passion for this field or is there not much point in applying?? I could show my past coding projects too as proof of my capabilities I guess but I just don't know if they'd be likely to consider the application i guess??

Just email the company and ask them. Or apply anyway, worse that can happen is a no.
