I'll save time by only listing ones you haven't heard of:
Dethonator (UK, heavy metal) - They sound like a big mix of various British metal bands (Maiden, Priest, etc). I recommend their album, "Race against the sun: part 2."
Lör (USA, heavy metal, power metal) - A very recent band. They have only one full length album, "In forgotten sleep" and it's filled with beautiful melodies and the best riffs you'll ever have heard.
Angra (Brazil, progressive metal, power metal) - The oldest band I've listed here, they've had several different lineups over the years, but have managed to produce incredible albums with each one. I recommend their magnum opus, "Temple of Shadows," imo the best album of the 00's.
Wilderun (USA, folk metal, death metal, symphonic metal) - The music these guys make is special, you won't find anything else that sounds like this, and it's done amazingly well. This is the least likely to appeal to you, but give "Sleep at the edge of the earth" a try if you have the time.
I could go on but I'll stop myself here. All of these bands sound very different to each other, so if you find one boring or bad, just move on to the next.
