Hiya,

Our Computer Science course based in the heart of Cambridge offers 3 different pathways: Standard 3 years, 4 years with a foundation year and 4 years with a placement. Whichever pathway may be suitable for you, studying in a student-city with plenty of access to shops, cafes, public transport links, libraries, and restaurants is a great experience!

If your grades are a little lower than expected, our foundation pathway may be the best way to go. The best team to talk with about this topic would be our Admissions team, who can help answer queries with entry requirements and the process of applying,

We do have current students you can chat with about their ARU experience, including Simone who is currently studying Computer Science with a foundation year 😊

Let us know if you have any other questions,
You could look at Aberystwyth plus a load of other options. Perhaps also consider a foundation year.

Absolutely, there are plenty of good universities that you'll be able to get into! Additionally, even if you don't quite meet the entry requirements for one course at a specific university, if you have your heart set on it the option of applying through Clearing is still there. Universities are typically more flexible with entry requirements when they are trying to fill available spaces on their courses.

Hi there

Although the entry requirements to study computer science at Kent is BBB, we do offer a degree with a foundation year which you would be eligible for. A degree with a foundation year is a subject-specific programme for students with acceptable English language ability but school-leaving qualifications below the level required. It offers one year of full-time study prior to a particular undergraduate degree. You can find more information about our degrees with a foundation year here: https://www.kent.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/foundation-programmes#degrees-with-foundation-year

Best wishes
