Healthcare experience

I am doing a degree in healthcare and health science, don't really know where it is going. Say I wanted to apply for a job as a healthcare assistant, it says tou need prior experience in healthcare or as a HCA but if you need to be a hca to become a hca how does that work exactly.

If you have done any placements in a healthcare setting where you have provided care to patients for a long period of time, this should be able to qualify as experience. However, I would call the hospital you are wishing to work at and ask them what type of experience they are referring to in order to be eligible for that post.
