why do i feel a desire to smoke even though it tastes awful

i mean i know it's nicotine, but it's just so weird how the addiction develops. it's like i don't exactly enjoy it, but i'm drawn to doing it anyway

Well there are many reasons such as the nicotine being addictive (it triggers the release of dopamine), Habituation (If someone has been smoking for a long time, it's possible that they have become habituated to the ritual of smoking, even if they don't enjoy the taste or smell) and also psychological factors such as anxiety, stress, boredom. The smoking provides a way to cope with negative emotions or to fill a void in their life. If you want to stop I advise stongly to speak to a doctor and get family or friends to help you.
Breathe air
I don't care if you're drawn to it, you stop it right now. Tar belongs on the road only, not in your lungs.
