Hi guys, I was just hoping someone would be able to help me with pros and cons of cell production, as it’s an area I’m not strong at and it is widely used in the car market so could come up.

pros - motivational (mayo), specialisation

cons - internal conflic within cells, jobs might get boring

any predictions? Isn’t it kind of limited because it’s on the car market specifically.

Thinking production centre maybe if a company should set up a factory there or not
Capacity utilisation potentially
Types of job production maybe
Global niche markets potentially (like Ferrari and how they sell little products but at such a premium price as they are customised to the consumers)
Maybe pricing strategies too
Global marketing strategies too??

my teacher says that if you want high marks you need to show that you have done ur own reasearch:/

Short answer: no it is not exclusive. However, would recommend having a look as it may help you even if you dont memorise the notes/facts - I won't be memorising everything aha but researchign is good and it will help with overall knowledge even just in life.

It shouldn't prevent you from getting top grades - however, it is much easier to get higher marks if you show your research, or even if you just research it enough for your own gain to help you gain knowledge about the car market - even if you don't write about it. Videos on youtube (try tutor2u and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeH3wmxHyHM (this is from a teacher)) are good fast research specialised to business edexcel alevel and have a few points about 'predictions' and or topics that would make sense to come up + examples.

Hi guys would I be right in saying that we can cancel out topics that have already come up in paper 1 and 2 or should we still revise them but maybe focus on others???
No we can't cancel out topics that have already come up I would still revise everything

But they rarely ever come up once again, obviously they’ll link but they’re never the main focus
yes but they can come up again its stupid to skip it out because if it comes up as a 20 marker u could be screwed

Say a car manufacturer like Toyota are considering self driving cars; would this be market development on the Ansoffs matrix?
Original post by user123456324
that's not true whatsoever. The paper is written in a way that technically you don't even need to have any knowledge on the car market before the exam. But it helps to have a basic understanding of the market

ooh alright

hey, i really recommend not doing this. in 2021 ways of improving profitability was a 20 marker in paper 1 and then was a 20 marker in paper 3! so it would be best to ensure you revise everything as you never know!

I think Kaizen and lean production because it was developed by Toyota

so u think the case studies will be about toyota? if it's a luxury car provider it will be easier to answer and then u can waffle on about lower consumer spending power, economic uncertainty , lower disposable income etc

Personally, I think so. Since Toyota came up with Kaizen and Lean production and the paper is on cars it would make sense to me that it would be in it. Obviously, there's no guarantee but that's what I think.

I do think it would be easier to write about a luxury car provider too, especially since influences on the market seems to be mentioned a lot in the pre-release

Any other suggestions as that seems like a very good and logical one seeing as though the topic has been very cold over recent years
