Systematic or Random Error?

I'm writing up the Young's Modulus practical for Physics A level, and I'm doing the systematic and random errors. I was thinking that assuming g = 9.81 could be an error as its unlikely to be exactly that since its slightly different everywhere but Im not sure what type of error it would be? Im also struggling with coming up with examples for both of them too so if anyone had any suggestions that would be great, particularly for the systematic errors?

The ones I can think of are:

Systematic errors:

Using a wire that has already been stretched beyond its elastic limit

Not measuring a wire diameter before it's stretched (as it decreases when the wire is stretched)



Random errors:

Errors when using a ruler

Errors when measuring the wire diameter, as it is not always the same along the whole wire



The g = 9.81 thing seems fairly negligible to me, but I guess it would be a systematic error as it affects all the results by the same proportion.
