Do you get error carried forward if you use the wrong formula

I used 1/3 pi r^2h for volume of a cylinder which is the wrong formula, but If i used the wrong formula correctly will I get error carried forward?

This was Edexcel GCSE Higher Maths today btw

It depends on the mark scheme, but generally no. 'Follow through' marks are often awarded where you use the correct method, but with the wrong numbers.
