Passport validity to go to Barcelona?!!

My passport expires on the 28th of December. If I go to Barcelona before the 28th of June which means I have exactly 6 months validity on my passport is that okay?

It needs to be valid for at least three months from the day you plan to leave Spain. However, you also need to check the date of issue, as it must be less than 10 years old when you enter Spain (the same rules apply to all EU countries except Ireland).

Ohhh okay so if I go to Spain in august and come back august then my passport is still valid right? Cos my expiry date is in December 28th?
