The Student Room Group

how lenient will unis be

i need an abb to get into my first choice, but i think its optimistic. if i dont get those grades and get say bbb, so you think they will still let me in? my first choice isnt a russel group so idk
probably. even for mech eng at the uni of leeds, they said 50% of undergrads get below the a*aa entry requirements. don't rely on it though
If you did near miss, they would firm all the people who got the offer grades and then see how many places were still left. Then they would fill with any near miss students.
So it all depends on that, I'm afraid.

Nobody cam tell whether they will accept a dropped grade. It depends on how many meet their offers but universities accepting a dropped grade is quite common.
