The UK, excluding London.

have a look at QS and the complete university guide. i'll be attending manchester school of architecture from this sept and theyre 5th globally this year on qs but in the uk its 9th. usually after excluding london unis or cambridge, its bath, sheffield, cardiff, manchester, edinburgh, nottingham and liverpool that are most well known so some of the best but also competitive
Also consider Strathclyde, Loughborough, Newcastle, Lancaster, Oxford Brookes, Queen's (Belfast), UWE, etc.

Lancaster is currently the No.1 on my university choice list.

if ur a uk student definitely try and visit as many as you can, personally when i visited lancaster i wasnt a fan as it campus based and sorta in the middle of nowhere but it was helpful because i could figure out what type of university was more suited for me

It's a great uni and the campus is lovely. There is a very frequent bus service (every 10 minutes or so) running between the campus and the city centre so location isn't really an issue. There's also a lot going on on campus with clubs/societies and the college bars run regular events.

What about Cardiff University? Their architect graduates have better prospects and the course does seem quite good.

I've not visited Cardiff Uni so no personal experience. It is a well-respected course. How do you know Cardiff's grads have better prospects (than who) - what is your source?

Take a look at these links and look at the figures, they are quite good (the Discover Uni link compares the wages after graduation to the rest of the country):

The Cardiff page you linked to is showing results for MArch graduates, which is a part 2 course. So I would expect earnings to be higher than results for other institutions that are showing results for their part 1 courses.

There is some architecture salary info on the following site:

The discover Uni page did show MArch grads but, take a look at the words just above the Cardiff grad salaries, it says:

Average earnings for all full-time Architecture courses
For graduates from Cardiff University
