I don't understand what this question is asking, can someone please explain.

In space, a beam of photons of different energies passes through a cloud of atomic hydrogen
gas. Explain, with a reason, what is likely to happen to photons of energy 19.38 × 10–19 J and
to some of the hydrogen atoms.

Hey! Is this question linked to energy levels in some of the other parts? I would guess they're looking for something to do with the photons being absorbed as they pass through the gas causing electrons to be excited

Yes it is sorry I didn't think the other parts were relevant, and you're right electrons are absorbed but can you tell me why they are and how this causes electrons to be excited?

It's about electron excitation and absorbtion spectra. Check what you have in your notes.
