"best" Uni for Politics (and Economics?) in clearing?

lets suppose your A level grades are way lower than you expected on results day (because of grade boundaries moving this year etc)

What the best Unis/Courses to look at that would be accept ABC and A in EPQ?

Politics with some element of Economics is preferred but just Politics or International Politics / Relations would be fine too?

It is too early to say which universities will be in clearing as some will not release their courses until the night before results day when numbers are more certain. If boundaries are stricter less students will meet their offers so more places could be in clearing.

There are already lists available of Unis in Clearing to be found via Google (or you can visit individual Uni websites) so it is easy enough to do the research on the interesting courses. Some Unis are well known for going in to clearing, eg Exeter

Waiting until results day to do the research is probably a bad idea IMO

The bit I am less clear on is which Unis might take a 'C'

The universities currently in clearing are those where the university expects not to fill its places based on numbers who have applied and spaces available. There will be other universities who are hoping they will fill their places but wont know until results are out so you are limiting yourself. These universities wont be known until A level results day.

As far as Exeter is concerrned it is rare for Politics to be in clearing. There are 2 reasons this might have happened. The numbers applying this year are down or it has increased its number of places. It is unlikely that Exeter will drop its grades much for as low as ABC but time will tell. This is the problem with what you are trying to do. You need to wait until results morning then check universities. You can have a list ready to phone but you wont know yet.
