Masters housing?

I’m (22F) looking for housing to do a masters at a different university to my bachelors. I won’t know anyone here and am unsure of whether to live in a house share or halls.

Which is better for someone doing a masters who doesn’t know anyone?

If you want to be in the confines and mesh with people who can be younger than you, then the halls.
If you want to save on rent and be flexible with travel, not particularly caring about who you share accommodation with then I go for the house share (you're more likely to meet other postgrads this way).

To me, whether you live in halls or off campus means very little in terms of socialising. It's down to how you know people and what you do with your time at uni e.g. attend societies/clubs, do sports, talk with people on your course, etc. If you choose not to interact with anyone, it won't matter where you stay. If you choose to talk to people, then it doesn't matter where you stay.
