No and if it was a rule then I didn't know about it.
Had to pay rent to live at home (your parents/family home) once/as soon as you got a job. Some parents actually do this 💀. Asking again as it wasn't answered the first time.

Nope, in fact I was told not to call random people sir/madam since it would give them a false sense of authority. However, I was told to always respect relatives (having to speak with elder or extended relatives regularly even if I have nothing to say to them).
Always look out the window before opening the front door (but I think this is more to do with my mum's paranoia of us getting robbed).
