No – I was the most 'religious' in our house and that was a strange phase in about Year 3 or 4 
If you don't help cook the meal, you have to help wash up.
(The obvious one from my childhood was the rule in the OP!)

Probably but i'd say no to be honest

Absolutely, yes! This rule really shocked one of my friends when they came round, a reaction I thought was rather sad to be honest.

No. Well actually depends. We always say to the kids they can’t have dessert without having a decent amount of main meal. But the older kids/adults are a bit cheeky like that.
Always closing the downstairs doors behind you.
