Resting Year 12

Hello, I am considering retaking Year 12 at a college and leaving my sixth form main reason being I want to go back to Germany and study at a university Political sciences but my current subject combinations wouldn't allow me to do so. I also had a lot of personal complications that didn't allow me to focus on my studies (homelessness, death of a family member etc.) But now I am a bit sad because my German teacher had been so sweet and supportive through everything and I am not sure if I wouldn't miss some teachers.
