can i balance part time retail work (8 hours a week) and second year at university studying biomedical science?
i also want to do a placement year but they are competitive. what can i do to ensure i get an interview - i dont have much lab work experience.

Hi there!
Many of our students balance working a part time job alongside their course. It's important to let your employer know that you are doing your course full time and your shifts would need to align nicely with your schedule. Many universities offer part time work as ambassadors for the university, helping out at events and open days. These can be a good way to make money at times that suit you, as you can opt in and out of shifts as you please.
