Choosing more modules than is necessary
Hi! Not sure if this is a really stupid question, but for what reason would you take more modules than is compulsory? My course requires between 20 and 40 credits of optional module in the first year, and the optional modules are each 20 credits. Would I just pick one module? For what reason would I pick two modules and how would that benefit me? Thanks 
Have you checked that there aren't differences in compulsory modules between variations of the course?

No, I've double checked and its my course only. It says you must choose at least one but may choose two of the optional modules.
