NHS cancelling appointments without informing patients :@

I was so annoyed with the NHS yesterday.

I travel to the hospital, stuck in traffic for 40 minutes reaching the hospital and when I turn up I get told that my appointment is cancelled on the system.

They never called me, e-mailed me or texted me.

I told them it was unacceptable.

Have you guys been experiencing this too by any chance? I'm at a loss with NHS this season. It seriously needs fixing.

The NHS has been experiencing a lot of strikes recently, as well as their employees going off sick with COVID. That's likely why your appointment got cancelled but it's unacceptable to not inform you, but the cancellation may have been made shortly before your appointment time so they didn't have time to tell you. Maybe the doctor had an emergency and couldn't make the appointment? I appreciate your frustration though.
