De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester is often considered to have exemplary university accommodation options for several reasons.

Firstly, the university and private companies offer a range of modern and well-maintained student halls. The options are diverse, catering to various preferences and needs, whether you prefer private studios or shared flats (including the ensuite facility). In my case, two factors have always been exceptionally important: location and money. DMU and all accommodation options are conveniently and strategically situated, offering easy and walkable access to the train station and the Leicester city centre with all necessary amenities. Moreover, most choices are affordable and value-for-money, ensuring access to quality living spaces without an excessive financial burden.

In my first year, I stayed at Bede Hall, a DMU-owned accommodation with shared flats. I had nine flatmates and a non-ensuite private room. It was a pleasant and clean stay, situated right next to the campus, for only 99 pounds per week. In my second year, I stayed with my friend with Unite Students in a two-bedroom flat right on the campus for 110 pounds per person per week. To conclude, you can find different options at similar prices depending on your individual needs and preferences.

I recently applied to KCL, Warwick, York, Southampton and Cardiff. Any recommendation for halls of accommodation in these universities? Looking for ensuite and NOT wet rooms.

Personally, I'm a bit bias but I do think Sheffield Hallam has some of the best accommodations for the best price. I've stayed in two student accommodations and the aesthetic has been amazing on both.
