Hello,

Unfortunately, not every course will get a reading week. It really depends on the course and university to decide which courses/modules need one.

Hope this helps,

Hey there @Dichhya12 !

Some people do but that's the decision of the lecturers and module leaders. Not all of your modules will have one and not every course will include them in the plan. It just depends on what you're doing. You might find you finish for Christmas a week earlier than everyone else because you didn't have a reading week but I can't say that for sure.

Hope this helped!

Hi there!

It does depend a lot on the course you are studying and the way it is deing taught. And there isn't any specific regulation to have a reading week in October/November.

Take care,
Ilya
No, varies between universities and even departments.

STEM courses I've been in usually haven't have a reading week, anecdotally.

Hi @Dichhya12,

Which course do you study?

Not all courses get a reading week unfortunately.

If you are finding that you need some time off and things are becoming a bit too much, try find days in your week where you can have complete days off other than the weekend. For example, for most students Wednesdays are a day students usually have no teaching so you could spend the whole or half a day doing things to recharge your battery.
