What is 'Enrichment Week' at Kingston University?

Whether you're a fresher or a third year, the first few weeks of term can seem a bit of a blur. In the midst of settling back into student life and finding the cheapest supermarket to do your weekly shop at, assignments can start to pile on you without you even noticing.

So maybe you need some time to get started on those essays you've been putting off, or need to head to one of the four KU campus libraries to catch up on your reading - either way, Enrichment Week (also known as Reading Week) is the perfect opportunity to tie up any of those loose ends that you haven't got the chance to yet.

During Enrichment Week, your typically scheduled course lectures and workshops will be paused, giving you the time and space to work on any projects or assessments that may be falling a little by the wayside. It's also an excellent time to expand your industry knowledge outside of just your course alone. If you're a KSA student, why not try and hit up a relevant museum or art gallery exhibition - or, if you're an aspiring midwife or biological scientist, see if you can score a week of work experience or shadowing at a local hospital or pharmacy!

On a lighter note, if you live nearby, some students might head home for a few days to see their family and friends - or alternatively, stay in Kingston and throw a big Halloween party with their flat/housemates! :yeah: But ultimately, Enrichment Week is what you make of it - so try and do something productive if you can!

KU's upcoming Enrichment Week is taking place from Monday 30th October - Friday 3rd November. Remember - not all courses offer a traditional reading week, so make sure to double check your timetable before making any commitments.

As always - if you've any questions, make sure to drop them below and one of our KU Reps will get back to you as soon as possible.
