Teaching economics

If my goal is to become an economics teacher, then does it matter whether I do a Ba or a BSc for my econ degree?
I've put together my choices for my 2nd year transfer application, and one of them is a Ba which I'd honestly prefer to do (to escape doing a watered down maths degree lol), but I'm not sure which qualification schools look for the most when hiring teachers, and if I don't manage to make it in education then would having a Ba instead of a BSc hurt my chances of finding a regular job?
