What can you do with a sociology degree?

I’m in year 12 and doing a-level biology, psychology and English lit (I really wanted to do a-level sociology but don’t have the option to do so in many of the sixth forms in my area, but I think i’m right in think you can do sociology at uni without it?). I’m not sure what I want to do and I don’t know much about uni so just researching my options at the moment, and I was wondering what I could do with a sociology degree and is it a good one to have? Any general advice about it or anything anyone wants to add would also be appreciated. Thank you

You can do most social science degrees (Sociology, Politics, Social Policy, Law etc) without any specific A levels, and you don't have to have studied that subject at A level.

Any social science degree gives you valuable skills - wider thinking, textual analysis, data skills, presentation skills, and generally 'stretches your head' - and employers know this, which is why you see job ads for 'graduate - any discipline'. And there are a thousand jobs/careers out here for those with Sociology degrees - and a any degree 'with placement' gives you a good opportunity to get some work experience in a relavant area.
