Do we have to quote The Merchant's Tale in Middle English (OCR A-level)?

It's driving me insane trying to memorise quotes in a language that looks half incomprehensible so I was wondering if we really HAVE to quote in middle English. If it'll deduct marks to write in modern English I'll stick with direct quotations.
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
Hey! I think you do have to write the quotes in Middle English. I don't think it will deduct marks but as long as you know what you're talking about, you'll be okay <3

Have you considered asking your teacher?
