Typing in exams - Marked more harshly and taken away？

I've just been given permission to type in my gcse exams. They've said that if I don't use it in mocks I will get it taken away or for other factors, I obv intend to use it but what reasons are there to take typing away? Also, would my work be marked more harshly if I type? Obviously I can type hell of a lot faster than I write, so if I write loads of stuff (that is relevant to the exam and question ofc) will that lead to harsher marking？ Before anyone accuses me of anything I have ASD and my handwriting has always been horrendous.
