I've replied in the other thread as well (it's basically what I said to you before).
Press Reply to quote the post I want to copy, Add some dummy text as a reply and complete making the reply. Edit the reply you just made. Select all and copy/paste into a text editor (you could paste into a new post if you were feeling brave I guess). Either delete or edit the reply (assuming you don't want to keep it as is - I changed it into the next number in the CTAM thread so it wasn't "out of place"). In the text editor, strip out the {quote} tags. What you have should then be at least close to the original post. There's an issue with copy/pasting long posts where you can lose paragraph breaks, so you may need to fix those. That's the only other thing I fixed here.

[There may also be other things that don't work].
Thanks for the information on how to do it on React, useful to know.

Funnily, I found out you could do this about 1 hour into living with the "New Thread Experience" (I used it to edit quotes instead of quoting the whole thing) - I think because I was editing posts trying to find out what/how other things (like quoting a URL) had got messed up.

I see, on the ball then. Good information to know that I might share it in one of the other threads
So, I selected the 3 lines in the post above, copied them, and pasted them below:
This is line 1.This is line 2.This is line 3.
If I paste them into a text editor instead, they are shown on separate lines (as in the post I copied). FWIW, if I then copy from the text editor and paste here, I get the expected result again:
