Computer Science or Software Engineering?

I'm applying to University, and I'm not sure whether I should go for comp sci or software engineering. I heard that comp sci is more theory and software engineering is more programming. I'm not doing too great in my A levels (maths, physics, comp sci) and I'm only really great at the programming aspect of computer science, though comp sci is my best subject even without programming.

So, if I even manage to get good enough grades to get into university, should I be going for computer science or software engineering?
If what you want to do is go into a job with software design the software engineering sounds good. Make sure the course you choose has a year in industry as competition in the workplace is high and this will provide a competitive CV for you.
Alternatively, look at degree apprenticeships as a way of getting into the industry, espcially if you want to avoid the debt and you have had enough of the academic study side of things.
