Special relativity

https://youtu.be/uTyAI1LbdgA?si=L2jasrYejbHWBxFt a vid on special relativity by science clic I just watched
In simultaneous events, why would the light ray hit the rear end first for the viewer on the planet? The video doesn’t really explain why or maybe I’ve missed it lol. I thought I had grasped on a foundational level what special relativity was but… idk
Any thoughts?

If I understand correctly, from the view of the planet, since the light travels the same speed in either direction, the movement of the spaceship causes the light to the left to have less distance to travel (as the wall is coming to meet it), whereas the wall is moving away from the light to the right so it travels further
