applying for physics at university of birmingham

So I did my A-levels last year and wanted to go to UOB because I would save tons of money living at home and idk how I'm going to afford to live away tbh.

However, I didn't get the grades for Physics so I looked into the foundation year, which I got the grades for but it turns out they don't accept anyone who did maths at A-level which I did.

So I guess I'm asking if there is a possible way to still get into UOB, I did call and they basically just said "Yeah sorry have a nice day".

Also, I realize it might be too late to do anything this year but I'm open to doing another gap year if I have to because I can just keep working and saving.

Basically, I just really wanted to go to Birmingham, I love the uni and it comes with the added bonus of living at home and saving money and not having to switch jobs. But if I have to go to another uni it is what it is.
