The Student Room Group

I'm thinking about Occupational Therapy - but is there a glitch?

I have 2 questions please - if a Student Finances England Rep could help me? -

1) I've already obtained a BSc (hons) Developmental Psychology (3yrs) & MSc (hons) Counselling (1yr) - so 4yrs of full-time study altogether. My question is: Would I be able to apply to study either a 3yr BSc Occupational Therapy OR a 2yr MSc Occupational Therapy course? I mention the BSc because I'm a registered carer for my child and unsure about studying at level 7 if I could instead study at level 6.

2) If I could study 1 of them, would I be eligible for full SFE funding + maintenance grant?

Thank you in advance. (I just hope it's good news - fingers crossed).
Thread moved to the Ask SFE forum. Also note that pre-reg masters courses for healthcare tend to be at the same level as the undergraduate courses but the content is condensed into two years.

Hi there,

Occupational Therapy would be an exception course at Undergraduate level so you would qualify for the support for the course. You would be eligible for, Maintenance Loan, Tuition Fee, Grants for Dependents and DSA if applicable. Thanks, Ross
