Hi, im in yr 13 studying history and really need some essay tips. Im working towards an A but my essays and paragraphs are constantly at an A
anyone who is consistently hitting those A/A*s - any essay tips you can give me? What separates your essays from a B student?

my teacher always says that to reach the highest marks on 20 mark essays its all about the evaluation. for each paragraph you must: state your point, explain using your knowledge, evaluate it in relation to the question being asked (use criteria such as long lasting/wide spreading/profound/ direct impact) and always link back to the question. then counter argue your point before writing a separate para about the counter argument. ITS ALL ABOUT EVALUATION. hope this helps
