It depends on the course and the uni. What course are you interested in?
Apart from Oxford and Cambridge, its usually only 'professional courses like Medicine, Teaching, Social Work, Nursing etc that require an interview Some courses at top Unis will require an additional 'test' - LNAT (Law), TMUA (Maths) etc.

Check each Uni website carefully for details, and if not clear, then just email the Uni and ask.
