I did PEE for GCSE! It doesn't work at A level. Try and work thematically;

Was the USSR totalitarian?
Economically; Lenin blah, Stalin blah
WHEREAS
Educationally; there were these reforms under...
THEN
In regards to the government structure; Stalin purged, Lenin did this... etc...

Make sense?
I don't know what you mean by the PEE thing, but I had this problem before aswell, mine were always too narrative and not analytical enough. The best thing to do is actually to talk to your teacher about this and ask for help, but when you're writing, read over what you have just written - whilst facts are important, opinion, historiography, and comparison are aswell!

Yeah, PEE is crap. As is any sort of fixed structure. If you want to do well you need to be flexible - and that should just come to you. :dontknow:

lol, my teachers told me to completely forget about PEE as soon as I walked into the classroom for the first lesson. What kind of essays do you need help with? Evaluative, descriptive or just in general?
