PLEASE HELP!!!! OCR A2 Chem planning exercise 26th may

i know there has been a thread on this before, but it seems to be deserted now. i am still so very confused about my chem planning exercise, and i have ONE DAY to do it!!

i understand the basica principal of what to do, but im relly confused about how to go about working the equations- what concs and vols to use etc

so far, i worked out that the conc of Cl2 is 0.1moldm3, (7/71) but what is the equation for reaction between Fe2+ and Cl, some say its

Cl2 + 2Fe2+ --> 2Fe3+ + 2Cl-

whereas i asked a friend at school who said she was using

2Cl- + Fe2+ ----> FeCl2

surely only one can be right, as they both give different mole ratios?

i have far more confusions too, but that will hopefully get me started for a while. please can someone help?! i really dont know what to do with this whole thing!!!!!
anyone?!?!?!

im going with

2Cl- + Fe2+ ---> FeCl2

as Cl2 would have to be a gas, and it says it should be aqueous. ive worked out conc of Cl = 0.1 moldm3, but dont know how people got concn of iron to be 0.2moldm3, so dont know how to go on to the other calculations. still... please help!

Cl2 + 2Fe2+ --> 2Fe3+ + 2Cl- is the equation you want.
