I actually really liked it, was nice paper. Only two people in my year take it and we both thought it went well. How did u find it?
I think it went well too but the physiology essay Question was sneaky although I mentioned every point my application to the context may not be sufficient enough so hopefully examiners don't mind lol.
It was a good paper, but i dont want to jinx it. my teachers predictions come up but it felt too good to be true. Feels as if everything i write is never in the mark scheme even though its right. The grade boundaries will be super high and close together as usual. What did everyone talk about in each section? Just really want to do well in this paper. Fingers crossed it all went well Bare in mind that 10 people took it from my year and everyone loved it but felt it was too good for true. We just fount out the true percentages of each bit of PE:
AS EXAM: 30% A2 EXAM: 30% AS Practical: 20% A2 Practical: 20%
So lets say if i got a C and was 5 ums away from B in AS, and my practical is a C in A2. What would i need to get each grade in this exam? Like marks wise: its out of 84
Guys this is all I remember from the exam, if you remember more than me than copy and paste what I wrote below and add some detail to it (number of marks etc...)
Physiology: Energy systems predominantly used during a football or hockey game (14 marks)
Why take EPO? (2 marks), Advantages and disadvantages of altitude training (5 marks)
Gymnasts muscle fibre and characteristics of muscle fibre (3 marks) , How to change angular velocity by changing moment of inertia (4 marks)
Something to do with VO2, Glycogen loading???? (didn't do this one)
Psychology: How a coach can use attribution theory to maintain motivation levels (14 marks)
Explain social inhibition and evaluation apprehension, How does Vicarious experience affect self-efficacy
Role of leader, Prescribed leader and emergent leader
Something to do with aggression/frustration and biofeedback??? (didn't do this one)
Contemporary: Pros and Cons of improving technology on performer and spectators (14 marks)
NGB formation/emergence, NGB roles
Why performers take performance enhancing drugs other than for physiological reasons (2 marks), Why its hard to ban drugs (5 marks)

If you give me what you specifically got in A2 practical then I could give you a rough mark
Section C is always **** tbf I wish I revised more of technology, commercialisation, Doping etc... Since doping came up in 2014 as a 14 marker and last year as a 3/4 mark question I didn't think it was going to come up
I cant remember exactly but i know i got a strong/high C even. An estimate would do. Lets say i got a middle C what would i have to get then?
Cheers
You need: 53 UMS to get a C grade overall which is 40-41 out of 84. 93 UMS to get a B grade overall which is 60-61out of 84 133 UMS to get an A grade but the exam is out of 120 UMS so you cant get an A unless you redo AS or coursework or something
Btw this is all rough work and based off last years grade boundaries so the grade boundaries can change.
If anyone else wants to see how to calculate how many marks they need to get for this exam to get the grade they want then just use these to links below to figure it out. But you're going to need to know how many marks or UMS you got for each PHED 1, PHED 2 and PHED 4

I thought it was very nice paper as energy systems you could do all of them and attribution theory was like self serving bias and attribution retraining and all that stuff. The last 14 marker I got lucky with as I did it last night managed to get a load of points down. The 4 marker on angular velocity was a dream.
Hey guys, can someone work out if i can get an a or A* overall, I got full marks
87/120 for PHED 1 (UMS i think that is) 80/80 for PHED 2
My teacher said I got an A in coursework for a2 (High A) and very high in practical so I'd guess around 70ish/80
PHED 3 went well today, so thoughts do you think A* overall possible?
You need to get 180 UMS in A2 and 320 UMS overall AS + A2 so 87+80+70 = 237 so you need 83 UMS in exam to get an A and 110 UMS in the exam to get an A*

Thank you so much! Do you roughly what that is as a % or raw?
